Key Criteria for Hot Peel Film

  • Temperature: Heat the press to a high temperature, typically between 140-160°C (300-320°F).
  • Pressing Time: Apply pressure for a short duration, around 5-10 seconds.
  • Peeling: The film is peeled off immediately after pressing, while still hot.
  • Pressure: Use firm, even pressure to ensure proper adhesion.
  • Fabric: Hot peel films are commonly used for ordinary fabric garments, such as cotton T-shirts.

Application Steps

  • Pre-press Garment: Pre-press the fabric for a few seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.
  • Position Transfer: Place the printed DTF transfer on the garment with the design facing up.
  • Heat Press: Set your heat press to the specified temperature and apply firm, even pressure.
  • Peel Film: Immediately after pressing, peel off the carrier film quickly.
  • Post-Press (Optional): For added durability, some transfers may benefit from a second press for 10-15 seconds with a protective sheet.

Tips for Success

  • Test Settings: 
    Always test a sample shirt to calibrate your settings for your specific equipment.
  • Supplier Quality: 
    Choose a stable supplier with high-quality assurance for consistent results.
  • Even Surfaces: 
    Ensure your pressing surface is even to avoid adhesion issues.
  • Monitor Heat: 
    If you notice the ink is smudging or melting, slightly lower the temperature.
